About water resistance and breathability.
Until recently, you had to choose between a car cover that provided high water resistance and one that provided high breathability. You couldn’t have both.
The Impossible Trade-Off
Talk about hard choices!
On one hand, you need a water-resistant cover so that rain won’t damage your finish and rust your vehicle.
On the other hand, if the cover isn’t breathable, ANY moisture—even condensation—will just sit between your cover and your car and cause damage anyway. Breathability helps your Car Cover evaporate moisture before it causes damage to your vehicle’s exterior. |

For decades, engineers struggled to find the right balance of water resistance and breathability.
Many people just accepted that things had to be this way: The more water-resistant my Car Cover is, the less breathable it will have to be.
Now, Stormproof by Coverking changes all of this.
Stormproof provides exceptional water resistance AND superior breathability.

In fact, NO OTHER CAR COVER on the market offers what Stormproof offers—
the HIGHEST water resistance (after AutoBody Armor) AND the HIGHEST breathability!
This combination of breathability and water resistance owes to years of textile research on microfiber technology. Microfibers are packed densely together – 2 million filaments per square inch!
Stormproof from Coverking.
At last, the choice is clear.

Do bird droppings, tree sap, and other environmental pollutants go through these covers and stain or otherwise damage the vehicle?
In a word: NO.
We would never sell you a cover that did not protect your vehicle from something as common as bird droppings or tree sap. These substances are highly acidic and can eat through a vehicle’s finish and leave scratches, and many people purchase our vehicle covers precisely so they can protect against these kinds of problems. These pollutants, along with precipitation, moisture, UV radiation, and dust, are the reason Coverking designs its covers so well.
We understand that many people have had bad experiences with other companies that promised protective covers but in the end failed to deliver. At CustomCovers.com, that is simply not how we operate.

Can car covers save you money?
Can you afford NOT to protect your car?
Think of all the money that you spend to protect your vehicle’s finish and keep your car looking good. How often do you get your vehicle washed, waxed, and detailed? Think of the impact sun and water penetration have on your vehicle’s interior—including cracking and fading—and how that affects your car’s retail value. Think of the “cost” of would-be thieves peering inside of your vehicle. Think of how much a universal cover costs. Because it can’t give you a perfect fit, it doesn’t protect as well as a custom cover, and it is likely that a lot of the elements will still be able to get through to your car. Think of how much an inexpensive semi-custom cover costs.
Now think of what a Custom Car Cover from Coverking gets you. protect your vehicle interior from fading act as a theft deterrent by blocking prying eyes from looking inside reduce the need for car washing (good for the environment) can prevent minor nicks, scratches and even small hail damage keep your car’s interior cool during the summer keep snow and ice off your windshield provide a seamless way to keep your car looking great for years Excellent materials, engineered to provide optimal protection for specific conditions

Can dash and rear deck covers save you money?
Can you afford NOT to protect your car’s interior?
Think of all the money that you spend to protect your vehicle interior. How much do you spend on protective sprays and cleaners for your dash and rear deck? How much do cracks and fading colors affect your car’s resale value? How much does a coffee-stained dashboard affect your car’s resale value? How much would it cost to repair and replace your dashboard? Can you put a price on an unimpeded seatbelt and airbag? Can you put a price on preventing glare and haze on your windshield? Can you put a price on a car interior that looks the way you want it to?
Now think of what a Custom Car Cover from Coverking gets you. Protection from interior fading, cracks, and spills Perfect compatibility with dashboard functions Excellent materials, engineered to withstand constant and intense exposure to the sun’s UV radiation and heat Attractive materials that you can customize to your tastes Decreased need for sprays and protective sprays
Just try Coverking Custom Dash Covers and Custom Rear Deck Covers. We are convinced that you will save money, and be very pleased with the results. |

|
Do bird droppings, tree sap, and other environmental pollutants go through these covers and stain or otherwise damage the vehicle? |
|
Do I get covers for BOTH front seats when I order?
Coverking considers two bucket seats (front driver side and front passenger side) as ONE order. Two rear seats or a rear bench seat also count as ONE order.
So, if you want to cover all of the seats in a four-door sedan, for example, please specify that when you place your order. |
|
Do you have golf cart covers?
Yes, Coverking makes and sells golf cart covers. Due to low demand, we have not presented them as an option on the web site, but you can order them here. When ordering online, please look at our Custom Vehicle Covers, choose a material, and place your order. Specify that you want a golf cart cover when placing your order. Please be sure to leave your contact information. Our customer service specialists we contact you if more information is required.

|
How can I tell if I have a light sensor on my dash?
Many people are unsure about this because sensors are often so well hidden. Please be sure to check your driver’s manual or call your dealer. This is important information to have on hand when ordering a Custom Dash Cover.
|
|
How do Coverking’s products compare with Covercraft’s?
CustomCovers.com has done quite a bit of research on this. While Covercraft offers a fine product, there are several differences that we feel give Coverking a major advantage across the board.
In general, we find that Covercraft takes a “more pieces is better” approach. Their Custom Covers achieve custom fit by using more pieces. This would be fine, except that more pieces means more seams. Every seam is a weak spot, a spot that is likely to rip and that tends to leak when subjected to heavy rains. The advantage of the “more pieces is better” approach is that it allows some degree of custom fit and total coverage at a lower production cost. The disadvantage is that total coverage doesn’t always equal total protection.
Coverking engineers use CAD/CAM technology to solve an important puzzle: How few pieces can be used to achieve Coverking’s Custom Three-Dimensional Fit? Coverking products therefore achieve their custom fit without creating a lot of seams. Coverking covers are less prone to breakage and leakage, providing years of protection AND total coverage.
|
|
How do I clean my covers?
For all of its products, Coverking recommends spot cleaning with a gentle soap, water, and sponge or rag as needed
|
|
How do I order lock and cable kits to secure my cover?
First of all, we carry them! All you have to do is place your order on our web site. Be sure you enter your vehicle’s make and model. As the web site configures your order, it will offer you the option of ordering a lock and cable kit or security kit.
Lock and cable kits are crucial devices that help you secure your vehicle cover so that it is unlikely to be stolen or blow away in hard winds. A small lock may not seem like much, but, like winds, thieves need to carry things off quickly. A lock and cable attachment widens the window of time, making it more likely that the thief will move on to less well-protected vehicles.
Why take a chance? Protect your protection. |

|
What is the vehicle-side material on Stormproof made of, and are you sure it won’t scratch my finish?
Many people have asked this over the years that Coverking has offered Stormproof. They simply cannot believe that Stormproof is capable of doing all it does while remaining gentle on the finish. But one layer is indeed enough to cover, protect, and pamper your vehicle. We have not received any complaints yet of Stormproof scratching a finish. It is softer and less abrasive than almost any other polyester cover out there.

What do 50-50, 60-40, and 40-20-40 mean?
These are front seat configurations available in many automobiles that don’t have a bench seat in the front.
A 50-50 seat configuration means that your front seats—driver side and passenger side—are of equal size.
A 60-40 seat configuration means that your front driver side seat is 20% larger than your front passenger side seat.
A 40-20-40 seat configuration means that your front seats are of equal size and have a console in between.
A bench seat is simply one long seat.
It is important to have this information when placing an order for a Custom Seat Cover. If you are not sure which configuration your vehicle has, please check your manual, call your dealer, or call our customer service department.

What is CAD/CAM?
Computer-aided design (CAD) and computer-aided manufacture (CAM) are important advances in the engineering of high-quality materials. Coverking uses sophisticated computers to make sure that your product is designed and manufactured to meet exacting specifications and achieve maximum efficiency. The result is a very high-quality product that is less expensive for you.
As a consumer, here’s why CAD/CAM is important for you:
Improves quality. CAD/CAM allows your vehicle’s precise measurements to be simply entered into a computer. Before CAD/CAM, products were designed and manufactured by hand -- a comparatively slow and labor-intensive process with lots of opportunities for mistakes -- for example, in measuring and cutting the cloth. When it comes to protecting the value of your vehicle, there is very little room for error. With the help of CAD/CAM to ensure accuracy, skilled technicians use computerized machines to make sure your cover does its job exactly right.
Reduces costs. Custom designed products used to be the province of very wealthy customers. CAD/CAM democratizes access to custom designed automotive products. CAD/CAM allows engineers to streamline the manufacturing process, reducing the costs that are passed on to you.

What is the difference between a molded dash cover and a regular dash cover?
Coverking’s Molded Carpet Custom Dash Cover is very similar to its Poly-Carpet cover. The main difference is that the Molded Carpet Custom Dash Cover is backed with a heat formable material. When we receive your order for a Molded Carpet Custom Dash Cover, our engineers use a mold of your specific vehicle to create a Custom Dash Cover of precision fit that is unparalleled.
The Molded Carpet Custom Dash Cover is the perfect choice for vehicles that have complex dashboard shapes.
Below is an example.

What is TS16949 quality certification?
The International Standards Organization has a set of exacting standards it applies so that consumers worldwide can count on the products they buy. The TS16949 certification ensures that your purchase from Coverking is made of high-quality materials that are repeatedly tested for quality and that the construction and workmanship are excellent. Very few companies in the automotive aftermarket achieve TS16949 certification, and Coverking is the only TS16949 certified manufacturer of several of its products.

Why do you need my vehicle’s make, model, and year?
CustomCovers.com uses the information you give us to find your vehicle’s precise specifications.
A True Three-Dimensional custom fit requires tremendous precision. Coverking has an enormous computer database that keeps track of the dimensions of almost every recent vehicle you can imagine. CustomCovers.com asks for information about your vehicle in order to pass your vehicle’s specifications on to Coverking. In fact, we need any relevant details you can provide: Does your vehicle have factory-installed or aftermarket options like rear spoilers? If you think it might affect the fit of your Custom Cover, please mention it when you place your order!
|
|
Why don’t you provide console covers for 40-20-40 bucket seat configurations?
We regret that Coverking is not always able to cover the console at the center of a 40-20-40 bucket seat arrangement. The reason is that the size of these consoles often varies considerably, even within a particular make and model. Our mission is to cover precisely, and if we cannot provide the absolute best coverage, we will not pretend that we can. We at CustomCovers.com believe that Coverking provides the best seat covers in the industry. We hope you will agree.
If you’re not sure whether your seating arrangement is fully covered, please call our toll-free customer service number at the bottom of this page.
|
|
Why is a seamless fit important?
Many car cover makers skimp on costs by giving you a “patchwork quilt” of available materials, full of seams and prone to leakage. We make our covers with very few seams so that there are fewer possible leakage points. The seams we do use are leak resistant and stitched with double needle and overlapped seams, so that in the unlikely event that one seam were to fail, it has backup.
Don’t settle for Custom Car Covers with a lot of seams.
Choose quality. Choose True Three-Dimensional Fit.
Choose Coverking.
